NPI reports for 2009 are due on 31 March 2010

If your company has a 'calendar year' reporting period a report for 2009 should be submitted to the NPI by 31 March 2010.

Due to the substantial changes which have occured in reporting requirements for the NPI this year, it is advisable to start the process as early as possible.

A significant change in NPI reporting for 2009 is the requirement to estimate and report the amount of NPI substances in waste materials (‘Transfers’). To understand what you need to do to correctly estimate and report Transfers, you should read Section 4 of The NPI Guide Version 5 and all of the Transfers Information Booklet - Version 2, both released in March 2009.
