Changes to EPA Victoria's industry licensing system

In Victoria, premises which have the potential for significant environmental impact are subject to Works Approval and Licensing. The Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 2007 define the 'scheduled' premises that are subject to Works Approval and/or Licensing by EPA.

In March 2010, EPA Victoria announced a process of reforming the licensing system that applies to these premises.

The licence reform process will result in an initial batch of draft licences being issued in March 2010. Licence-holders will have the opportunity to review their draft licence before it is finalised. The remaining licences will then go through a similar process to complete the reform process by December 2010. The new licences will look like this.

Please contact peter@NPIplus.com.au if you have any questions about EPA's new licensing system and/or to obtain assistance from NPI+ in understanding what the new licensing system may mean for your company.

Or you can contact EPA Victoria by ringing (03) 9695 2722.
